I wanted to equip parents and caregivers with the why behind the play - to help them see that with the right understanding and guidance, those ordinary moments can become powerful opportunities for communication, connection, thinking, and independence.
This program is for all children. Every child benefits from strong relationships, rich language, meaningful interaction, and opportunities to learn through play. Whether a child is developing typically, needs additional support, or simply thrives with intentional guidance, the goal is the same: to help adults feel confident using everyday moments to support growth.
With over 25 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, I have worked with children and families across a wide range of developmental needs in outpatient, in-home, school, and private practice settings. My work has shown me that some of the most meaningful growth happens not in perfect lessons, but in connected, playful, real-life moments.
Play with Purpose was created to make those moments easier to recognize, easier to support, and more meaningful for the adults who care for children every day.
